Opinions of this dark short story I wrote?

Eh. To me, you could have put a lot more detail in it. That's what short stories are basically about. Detail and your ability to captivate the audience. I'm not a religious person so straight away I was bored, but I kept reading. I get what you're saying, but to me it's not dark as much as it is mysterious and thoughtful. More details.
